Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Cook thick-cut bacon over medium-low heat until crispy, about 8–10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
  3. Sauté chopped yellow onion in the same skillet for about 5 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add chopped button mushrooms and cook for 3–4 minutes. Then add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, crumbled bacon, milk, and Monterey Jack cheese until well combined.
  6. Fold in drained green beans until coated with the creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with French fried onions.
  8. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
