Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine elbow macaroni with enough whole milk to cover the pasta, bringing it to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Stir frequently for about 8-10 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and most of the milk has been absorbed.
  2. Lower the heat and add in the unsalted butter, sharp cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Stir continuously for about 3-5 minutes, ensuring all pasta is coated in the rich mixture.
  3. If using, fold in the sour cream and optional seasonings. Taste and adjust salt and pepper to preference.
  4. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top of the mac and cheese. Broil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Serve hot in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley.
