Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, crimping the edges.
  2. Spread pecan halves on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate chips in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Fold in melted chocolate.
  5. Brush the bottom of the pie crust with egg white, add half of the toasted pecans, pour in the filling, and top with remaining pecans.
