  • 3 tablespoons hot honey or regular honey with chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce use gluten-free for a gluten-free version
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
  • 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa substitute with cauliflower rice for a low-carb option
  • chopped green onions or chives/cilantro as alternatives
  • sesame seeds optional but recommended

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until shimmering. Sauté 1 diced onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in 3 tablespoons of hot honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Prepare 2 cups of cooked rice or quinoa according to package instructions. Serve the beef mixture over the warm base.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
