Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season chicken thighs with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat skillet with oil. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  2. In a bowl, whisk honey and BBQ sauce until smooth for the glaze.
  3. Remove chicken, add rice to the skillet, lightly toast for 1-2 minutes, then add chicken broth and half of the glaze. Bring to boil, then simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Nestle chicken thighs back into the rice, cover, and simmer for another 15 minutes.
  5. Check if chicken is cooked through, fluff rice, drizzle remaining glaze, and garnish with green onions.
