Method
 

Cobbler Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil sweet potatoes in a large pot for 15 minutes until tender, then drain.

  4. Melt butter and mix with vanilla extract.
  5. Layer the sweet potatoes in a greased baking dish and sprinkle the sugar mixture on top.
  6. Pour the melted butter and vanilla mixture over the sweet potatoes.
  7. Sift flour and baking powder, then gradually stir in milk to make a smooth batter.
