  • 4 fillets Salmon Fillets wild-caught Pacific salmon recommended
  • 2 tablespoons Butter can substitute with olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
For the Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Orange Juice freshly squeezed from about 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons Honey maple syrup can be used as a substitute
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce use tamari for gluten-free option
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic for added flavor
  • Cornstarch optional, for thickening the glaze

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter or heat olive oil over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.
  2. Generously season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Carefully place the fillets skin-side up in the hot skillet. Sear the salmon for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. After the salmon is golden, gently flip the fillets over and continue cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  4. Once fully cooked, remove the salmon fillets from the skillet and tent them with aluminum foil to keep warm.
  5. Lower the heat to medium, and whisk together 1/4 cup of orange juice, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 2 cloves of minced garlic in the same skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return the cooked salmon fillets to the skillet, gently coating them with the orange glaze.
  7. Carefully plate the Orange Glazed Salmon, ensuring it's drizzled with the sticky glaze. Serve warm.
