Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by cooking your choice of noodles according to the package instructions. Generally, this takes about 8-12 minutes until they are tender but slightly firm to the bite (al dente). Once cooked, drain them well, rinse briefly under cold water to stop cooking, and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken pieces and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until they are golden brown and fully cooked through.
- Lower the heat slightly and add 3-4 cloves of minced garlic to the skillet with the chicken. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly golden.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, and a few tablespoons of water, then stir in a teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet with the chicken and garlic, and cook it over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles and your choice of vibrant vegetables into the skillet. Toss everything together gently for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are heated through and coated in the sticky sauce.
- Once everything is combined and sufficiently heated, remove the skillet from the heat. Serve the sticky garlic chicken noodles hot, garnished with chopped green onions or a sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired.
