  • 2 tablespoons Water for cornstarch slurry
For the Sauce

  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar can replace with coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup Beef Broth can substitute with chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/3 cup Soy Sauce consider low-sodium
  • 3 tablespoons Hoisin Sauce can use teriyaki sauce as an alternative
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger or use fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes optional for heat
For the Garnish
  • 4 Green Onions sliced

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat over medium. Add ground beef, breaking it apart. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, and black pepper. Mix and simmer on medium-low for about 5 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with water. Pour into the skillet, stirring constantly until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add cooked linguine and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Remove from heat. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.
