Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add linguine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, breaking apart. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until aromatic.
  4. Incorporate brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, ground black pepper, and red pepper flakes into the skillet. Stir for 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add to the skillet while stirring. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Add drained linguine to the skillet, tossing gently to coat in sauce. Heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve hot.
