Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat the skillet by adding 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Brown 1 pound of ground beef, cooking for about 5 minutes until browned.
  3. Add 1 finely diced onion and 1 grated carrot, cooking for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  4. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Incorporate 4 cups of shredded green cabbage, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, 2 tablespoons of low-sodium soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar if desired, cooking for an additional minute.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
