Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. In a mixing bowl, blend together 4 large eggs, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of milk, 4 tablespoons of melted butter, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the hot cast-iron skillet from the oven and add 1 tablespoon of butter, swirling it around to coat the bottom and sides.
  4. Pour the rested batter into the hot skillet, then sprinkle shredded sharp cheddar cheese and crispy bacon over the top.
  5. Place the skillet back in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges puff up and turn golden brown.
  6. Once baked, remove the skillet from the oven, let it cool for a minute, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley and chives before serving.
