Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Cook the diced bacon in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes until crispy. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cheddar cheese, parsley, baking powder, black pepper, salt, baking soda, and garlic powder.
  4. Grate the frozen butter into the dry ingredients and mix quickly to combine.
  5. Add the buttermilk and gently mix until a soft dough forms, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead 3-4 times, then roll out to about 1.25 inches thick.
  7. Cut out biscuits using a 2-inch cutter and place on the prepared baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes.
