  1. Start by rinsing 2 cups of fresh cherries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the pits and blend the cherries for about 30 seconds until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to collect 1 cup of cherry juice.
  2. Extract lime juice from 5-6 fresh limes, ensuring no seeds remain. Measure out 1 cup of lime juice.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cherry juice and lime juice. Add 4 cups of cold water and ½ to ¾ cup of sugar; stir for about 2 minutes until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Taste the limeade and adjust sweetness if needed. Optionally add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
  5. Serve over ice with garnishes like cherry slices or lime wedges.
