  • 4 cups Fresh or frozen peach slices If using fresh, peel them.
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • 1/2 cup Cold water Helps dissolve the sugar.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice Fresh or bottled; lime juice can be used as a substitute.

Method
 

Steps
  1. Begin by selecting ripe peaches, peeling and slicing them into smaller pieces. For frozen peaches, allow them to thaw.
  2. In a blender, combine the prepared peaches, sugar, cold water, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour the blended mixture into a metal loaf pan and smooth the top. Cover tightly with parchment paper or foil.
  4. Place in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solidified.
  5. Allow the sorbet to sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before serving to soften it slightly.
