- In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch until smooth. Add the beef steak and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Slice your bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef slices and sear for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove beef from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and toss in the bell peppers and onions. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stir for about 1 minute. Return the beef and pour in beef broth or water. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot over jasmine rice or stir-fried noodles.
