  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Substitute with half-and-half or non-dairy alternatives.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be used.
  • Salt and Pepper Adjust to your taste.
For the Protein
  • 12 ounces Smoked Sausage Can swap for turkey or Italian sausage.
For the Base
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth Use vegetable broth for vegetarian option.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil Avocado oil can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 diced Onion Shallots can be used as a substitute.
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese Mozzarella or dairy-free cheese can be used.
  • Chopped Parsley Optional garnish.

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large pot, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering. Add 1 diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Introduce 12 ounces of sliced smoked sausage to the pot. Brown for 5-6 minutes until golden.
  3. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, along with salt and pepper to taste. Stir for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in 3 cups of chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add in 12 ounces of pasta. Cook uncovered for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Lower heat, stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of honey BBQ sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Gradually sprinkle in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
