Step-by-Step Instructions for Nutella Banana Swirl Muffins
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your muffin tin with muffin liners or lightly grease it.
  2. Mash about 2-3 ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth, leaving a few small lumps for texture. Stir in 1/4 cup of melted butter until combined.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 cup of sugar to the banana mixture. Incorporate one large beaten egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold in 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour into the wet mixture using a spatula.
  5. Scoop half of the muffin batter into each muffin cup, filling them about two-thirds full. Create small wells in the center.
  6. Spoon approximately one teaspoon of Nutella into the center of each well. Cover with the remaining batter.
  7. Using a toothpick or a butter knife, gently swirl the Nutella into the top of each muffin.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Once baked, allow the muffins to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
