Ingredients

For the Cake Mixture
  • 5 pieces Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes For chocolate truffles, opt for the chocolate variety instead.
  • 1/4 cup Festive Christmas Sprinkles Optional; mix into the cake before rolling for extra fun.
For the Coating
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips Or Candy Melts; choose high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Red Candy Melts Optional for decorative drizzle.
  • 1/4 cup Green Sanding Sugar Can be replaced with other fun sprinkles if desired.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Hand Mixer
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • Fork or piping bag

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Unwrap all five Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed until a dough-like mixture forms, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out 1 tablespoon portions of the cake mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls. Place them on the lined baking sheet.
  3. Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips or candy melts. Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring, until smooth, about 1-2 minutes total.
  5. Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on the parchment paper.
  6. Melt red candy melts in a separate bowl. Drizzle melted chocolate over the truffles and sprinkle with green sanding sugar before the drizzle sets.
  7. Place the decorated truffles back in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes to firm up.
