  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey or chicken for leaner option
  • 2 cups broccoli florets adds crunch and fiber
  • 1 diced onion or shallots for a milder flavor
  • 2 cloves minced garlic can use powdered garlic as alternative
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper adjust to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder optional if using fresh garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder optional if using fresh onion
For the Creamy Sauce
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream can substitute with cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or mozzarella for flavor twist
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce optional based on preference
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes adjust for desired heat

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and brown for 6-8 minutes until crumbly and golden brown.
  2. Push the beef to one side, then add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the broccoli florets and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  4. Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well to coat.
  5. Cover the skillet and reduce heat. Cook for 5-7 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  7. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top, cover, and let melt for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and red pepper flakes, mixing well before serving.
  9. Serve warm directly from the skillet.
