  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (or Melted Butter) for searing
For the Seasoning
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or substitute fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground
  • to taste Salt kosher salt preferred
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme dried or fresh
For Cooking
  • 1 cup Chicken or Turkey Broth for cooking

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the turkey wings dry with paper towels. In a bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Rub this mixture all over the wings.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the wings for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Place the seared wings in a large baking dish in a single layer. Scatter the chopped onion and minced garlic around the wings.
  5. Pour 1 cup of chicken or turkey broth into the baking dish, surrounding the wings.
  6. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and return the wings to the oven for an additional 15 minutes to crisp the skin.
  8. Let the wings rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
