Preparation Steps
- In a large skillet, heat up over medium heat and add the ground beef, cooking for about 6-8 minutes until browned and no longer pink.
- Add the Cajun seasoning and garlic powder to the cooked ground beef, stirring well to incorporate the flavors. Let this mixture cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the seasoned ground beef with the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, and shredded carrots. Gently fold the ingredients together.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape, place 2-3 tablespoons of the filling in the center, fold, and roll tightly.
- In a deep pan or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
- Carefully add the egg rolls to the hot oil, frying for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove the egg rolls using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
