Ingredients
  

For the Cabbage Wrap
  • 8 leaves Cabbage Leaves Savoy for more texture
For the Filling
  • 1 lb Ground Pork Swap with ground turkey or chicken if desired
  • 1 medium Shallot Yellow onion works as a substitute
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh is best
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Opt for fresh
  • 1 cup Grated Carrot Zucchini can be an excellent low-carb substitute
  • 2 tbsp Fish Sauce Soy sauce can be used as a replacement
  • 1 tbsp Tamari Use soy if not gluten-free
  • 2 spring Green Onions Optional
  • ¼ cup Cilantro Parsley can be used as a substitute
For the Dipping Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tamari
  • 1 tbsp Sugar-Free Maple Syrup Adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice

Method
 

Cabbage Preparation
  1. Blanch the cabbage leaves in a large pot of boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to cool.
Filling Preparation
  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté shallots, then add garlic and ginger. Incorporate ground pork and cook through. Add carrots, fish sauce, tamari, and green onions, then cilantro.
Assembly
  1. Cut a V-shape out of each cabbage leaf's base. Place filling in the center and roll tightly. Arrange seam-side down in a greased baking dish.
Baking
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Whisk together dipping sauce ingredients and pour over cabbage rolls. Bake for 15-20 minutes until heated through.
