Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Gather all ingredients and rinse the basil leaves. Pat dry. Peel and chop the garlic. Toast pine nuts in a pan for 3-5 minutes.
  2. In a food processor, combine toasted pine nuts, garlic, and basil leaves. Pulse until coarsely chopped.
  3. Add Parmesan cheese and pulse again. With processor running, drizzle in olive oil until emulsified.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and pulsing to combine. Adjust flavors as needed.
  5. Transfer to an airtight container. Drizzle olive oil on top if not using immediately.
