Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef, cooking until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until onions are translucent (3-4 minutes).
- Spread the beef mixture in the greased baking dish and layer thinly sliced potatoes over the top. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Top with shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan cheese. Pour beef broth around the edges of the dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden and potatoes are tender.
- Let cool for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
