Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add 1 pound of lean ground beef to the hot skillet, breaking it apart and sautéing for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Incorporate 1 chopped onion and 3 cloves of minced garlic into the skillet, sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in 2 cups of diced sweet potatoes, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon each of smoked paprika and cumin, along with salt and pepper to taste.
