- Blend almond paste, softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and half of a beaten egg in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Spread the almond filling evenly down the center third of the puff pastry. Make diagonal cuts on both sides.
- Fold the outer sections of pastries over the filling in a crisscross manner.
- Brush the top with the remaining beaten egg and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
