- In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add dried spaghetti and cook for about 9 minutes.
- While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dice the thick cut bacon and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until crispy.
- Remove the bacon, leaving the fat in the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium, add sliced garlic, and sauté for around 2 minutes.
- Pour about ½ cup of reserved pasta water into the skillet with the garlic and bring to a gentle boil.
- Once bubbling, drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.
- Stir in the crispy bacon and season with salt and pepper.
- Plate the pasta, garnishing with parsley and Parmesan cheese.
