Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add dried spaghetti and cook for about 9 minutes.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dice the thick cut bacon and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until crispy.
  3. Remove the bacon, leaving the fat in the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium, add sliced garlic, and sauté for around 2 minutes.
  4. Pour about ½ cup of reserved pasta water into the skillet with the garlic and bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Once bubbling, drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta in the sauce.
  6. Stir in the crispy bacon and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Plate the pasta, garnishing with parsley and Parmesan cheese.
