Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl or stand mixer, combine warm water, dry active yeast, and granulated sugar. Allow to proof for about 5 minutes.
  2. Once yeast is frothy, add salt and all-purpose flour. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Shape dough into a ball, cover, and let it rest for 10 minutes to relax the gluten.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Roll tightly.
  5. Slice rolled dough down the center, twist each half around each other, and tuck ends underneath.
  6. Place twisted loaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and let it rise for 20 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F.
  7. Bake for 20 to 23 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for 10 to 15 minutes before glazing.
