- In a mixing bowl or stand mixer, combine warm water, dry active yeast, and granulated sugar. Allow to proof for about 5 minutes.
- Once yeast is frothy, add salt and all-purpose flour. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Shape dough into a ball, cover, and let it rest for 10 minutes to relax the gluten.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Roll tightly.
- Slice rolled dough down the center, twist each half around each other, and tuck ends underneath.
- Place twisted loaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and let it rise for 20 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F.
