- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thick and cut into 8 squares.
- Score a half-inch border around each pastry square and prick the center multiple times.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture into each pastry square and add 1 teaspoon of fruit jam.
- Brush beaten egg over the edges and optionally sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then glaze with a mixture of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
