- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
- Spread half of the cubed French bread in the baking dish, dollop half of the cream cheese, and add half of the strawberries. Repeat with remaining ingredients, finishing with strawberries on top.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the custard over the layered bread and fruit, pressing down to absorb. Let rest for 15 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
- Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set in the center. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
