Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the filling by combining strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes until thickened. Puree and cool.
  2. Make the dough by mixing flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk, butter, and egg. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Grease a bowl, place the dough inside, cover, and let it rise for about 2 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the cooled strawberry filling evenly, leaving a border.
