Method
 

Cupcake Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare your cupcake pans by lining them with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cake flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, then add eggs one at a time.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract, canola oil, and red food coloring until smooth.
  5. Alternate adding the flour mixture and buttermilk to the batter, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  6. Evenly distribute the batter among the prepared cupcake liners and bake for 18 minutes.
  7. Let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Frosting Instructions
  1. Prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating together the cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
