- Start by patting the beef tips dry with paper towels and season them with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika.
- Place the seasoned beef tips in the bottom of your crockpot and pour the sauce mixture evenly over the beef.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
- If a thicker sauce is preferred, mix cornstarch with water and stir it into the crockpot 30 minutes before serving.
- Once done, shred the beef with two forks and serve over mashed potatoes or on sandwich buns.
