- Prepare the dressing by combining plain yogurt, a splash of milk, apple cider vinegar, sugar or honey, and salt and pepper in a mason jar. Shake until well blended and creamy. Refrigerate as you prepare the salad ingredients.
- Chop the broccoli into bite-sized florets and slice the Honeycrisp apple into thin, crisp slices. Optionally, sprinkle lemon juice on the apple slices to prevent browning. Add to a large mixing bowl.
- Finely slice the red onion and add to the bowl. Pour in the raisins and sunflower seeds, then gently toss all ingredients together to combine.
- Retrieve the chilled dressing and pour it evenly over the salad. Toss gently to combine, then let the salad rest in the refrigerator for 30 to 60 minutes.
- Before serving, crumble crispy bacon over the salad and toss gently once more to distribute. Serve chilled.
