Preparation Steps
  1. Combine warm water and sugar or honey in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle instant dry yeast and stir gently. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add bread flour and salt to the bowl. Drizzle olive oil and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Shape the kneaded dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl to rise for 1-2 hours until it's doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the risen dough, divide it into portions, and let the portions rest covered for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Shape each dough ball into your preferred thickness and style.
  7. Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C) and place a pizza stone or skillet inside to heat for 30 minutes.
  8. Add your desired toppings to the shaped dough and bake on the preheated stone or skillet for 8-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Let the pizza rest for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.
