Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Begin by patting the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko and plain breadcrumbs mixed with seasoning.
  3. Dredge each cod fillet in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
