Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water in a fine mesh strainer until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine the rinsed quinoa, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt in a medium saucepan.
  3. Set the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for 20-25 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the lid and continue to simmer for an additional 5 minutes to thicken.
  6. Stir in the remaining vanilla extract and add more milk for a creamier consistency if desired.
  7. Serve warm or refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
