Step-by-Step Instructions for Healthy Onion Dip
- In a medium sauté pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over low heat. Add 2 sliced onions and 2 minced garlic cloves, stirring well to coat. Cook gently for about 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are deeply caramelized and golden brown.
- Once the onions are beautifully caramelized, remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool for about 5–10 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled onion mixture with 1 cup of non-fat Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- After mixing, taste the dip for seasoning and adjust salt and pepper to your preference. You can also sprinkle in more garlic powder or some fresh herbs.
- Transfer your creamy Healthy Greek Yogurt Onion Dip to a serving bowl, pairing it with fresh veggie sticks, crispy chips, or spreading it on sandwiches.
