Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss steak strips with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add butter. Sear the marinated steak strips for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt another tablespoon of butter and whisk in the flour. Cook for about 1 minute until light golden brown.
  5. Gradually pour in heavy cream and milk while whisking. Cook for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Stir in mozzarella, Parmesan, and cream cheese until melted. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
