- In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of ground cloves, and ½ teaspoon of ground cardamom. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat together ½ cup of softened butter and ½ cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add ¼ cup of molasses, ¼ cup of honey, and 1 egg, mixing until smooth.
- Add the zest of 1 orange and 2 tablespoons of orange juice to the butter mixture. Stir until well blended.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Chill the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Drop generous tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers look set. Let cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix 1 cup of powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of orange juice until smooth. Adjust consistency as needed.
- Drizzle the glaze over cooled cookies and allow to set for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
Chilling the dough helps prevent spreading and creates the ideal texture.
