Method
 

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of ground cloves, and ½ teaspoon of ground cardamom. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, beat together ½ cup of softened butter and ½ cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add ¼ cup of molasses, ¼ cup of honey, and 1 egg, mixing until smooth.
  3. Add the zest of 1 orange and 2 tablespoons of orange juice to the butter mixture. Stir until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Chill the dough for about 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Drop generous tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment, about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers look set. Let cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, mix 1 cup of powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of orange juice until smooth. Adjust consistency as needed.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over cooled cookies and allow to set for about 10 minutes before serving.
