Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by removing the crusts from each slice of white sandwich bread. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice to about a quarter-inch thickness.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of melted butter, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon until combined into a paste-like consistency.
- Spread an even layer of the cinnamon mixture across each slice of flattened bread, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Starting from one end, tightly roll each slice of bread with the filling inside and gently seal the edges.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs, 1/2 cup of milk, an additional sprinkle of cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
- Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter to melt.
- Carefully dip each roll in the egg mixture and place them seam-side down into the preheated skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Once the roll-ups are golden brown, remove them from the skillet and place them on a serving plate.
