Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine shredded chicken, room temperature cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Mix until creamy.
  3. Unroll crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and flatten each triangle slightly.
  4. Spoon chicken filling onto each dough triangle, fold over, and press edges together to seal.
  5. Beat the egg and brush the tops of the pillows. Optionally sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour to create a roux, then add milk and heavy cream, stirring until thick. Mix in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
