Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 2 cups Cooked Shredded Chicken rotisserie chicken makes this quick and easy
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese at room temperature
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder substitute with fresh onions if desired
  • 1 tbsp Dried Parsley fresh parsley can be substituted
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper preferably freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter for added flavor
For the Dough
  • 1 package Crescent Roll Dough gluten-free pastry can be substituted
  • 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs optional topping
  • 1 beaten Egg for egg wash
For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Butter use unsalted for better flavor control
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour gluten-free flour may be used
  • 1 cup Whole Milk low-fat can be used for a lighter version
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream substitute with half-and-half if needed
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese freshly grated is best

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Unroll and flatten the crescent roll dough, dividing it into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each triangle and fold the dough over, pinching the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour, add milk and cream, and stir until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  8. Serve the Chicken Pillows with the creamy Parmesan sauce drizzled on top.
