Step-by-Step Instructions

  3. Bake the meatloaf for about 20 minutes, allowing it to start browning at the edges.
  4. Boil water in a pot, add macaroni, and cook according to package instructions, usually about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour for a minute, then gradually add milk, whisking until thickened. Stir in cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, paprika, and mustard until creamy.
  6. Fold the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce and pour over the baked meatloaf, reserving some cheese for topping.
