  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh garlic

For the Biscuit Topping
  • 1 package Cheddar Bay biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • 2/3 cup milk or plant-based milk

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet and cook 1 pound of shrimp until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in 8 ounces of lump crab meat and 1 cup of frozen mixed vegetables, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of flour and mix, then add 2 cups of seafood stock and 1 cup of heavy cream, simmering until thickened.
  5. Season with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of dried thyme, salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Pour the seafood filling into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Combine 1 package of biscuit mix with 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and 2/3 cup of milk to form dough.
  8. Spoon the biscuit dough over the filling, leaving some filling visible.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the biscuit topping is golden brown.
  10. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
